Hackathon: Transforming Healthcare with Artificial Intelligence

The HIMSS Tennessee Chapter is hosting the 2nd annual AI Hackathon in the fall of 2024, powered by NTT DATA and Microsoft! The theme for this year’s hackathon is solving challenges for nurses in healthcare provider organizations. This six-week hackathon will bring together the brightest minds in healthcare and technology to solve real-world problems for nursed using AI.
Format
- 6-Week duration from September 24 to October 30.
- Kick-Off Event September 24. Dive deep into AI impacts on nursing with our industry-leading Chief Nursing Officers.
- Following the Kick-Off, hackers will have 3-weeks of Solution Development from September 24 – October 11. Hackers will be provided office hours from NTT DATA, Microsoft, and nurse physician staff to help support development and use case definition.
- Submissions due October 11! Preliminary judges will select the top 3 solutions from each division and notify teams week of October 14.
- October 21 – October 25: Top teams from each division will receive a week of coaching to prepare final presentations.
- Closing Event on October 30, 2024. Grand finale with a judging panel of CIOs & CTOs of major healthcare institutions. $1000 prize to winning teams!
- Team formation and submissions open on August 28, 2024 and close on September 23, 2024.
