Achieve and Maintain Health Equity Through Action at HIMSS25

Health equity leaders from federal and local agencies, healthcare organizations, community-based organizations, academia and more will work together on community engagement strategies at the 2025 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition. 

Registration is open for HIMSS25, taking place March 3-6 in Las Vegas. The annual global conference is the epicenter of healthcare innovation where a vibrant community of healthcare experts get ahead of industry trends, connect with like-minded professionals, and explore cutting-edge solutions transforming healthcare. 

Health equity is a key topic at the 2025 event, with a preconference forum, general education sessions, specialty pavilions and networking events designed to actively promote and maintain health equity through action. 

Views from the Top sessions will address patient access and innovations for meaningful impact on care.  

Seema Verma, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Oracle Health & Life Sciences, will detail amazing and rapid developments in data science, AI and interoperability that can ensure a healthcare system that is sustainable, affordable, accessible and improves the quality of life for patients and their families. 

Kaitlin Baston, New Jersey Commissioner of Health, will discuss state-level innovations that can scale nationally and even globally that address the top causes of death in young people, up to age 44, in the United States: overdose, suicide, and homicide. 

Participants in the preconference Health Equity Forum will explore equity initiatives and programs, delve into the latest health equity research and share promising practices and innovative solutions. A new event for 2025, the forum provides a valuable opportunity to exchange successes and challenges, learn from one another and reaffirm a commitment to the crucial task of enhancing health and well-being for all community members. 

More than 20 general education sessions address health equity as a key topic, including access to care, digital literacy, health disparities and inequities, low- and mid-income country barriers to care delivery and social determinants of health. Experts will illuminate how technology can ensure everyone has a fair and equitable opportunity to attain the highest level of health. 

The Government Connections Plaza on the exhibit floor offers sessions and innovative solutions that explore resources from top government agencies on health equity, patient identity and public health strategies.
