HIMSS President & CEO Hal Wolf will deliver a keynote address for The Path Forward: Accelerating Supply Chain Excellence & Safety in Health Systems, a Dec. 8 virtual event.
The Path Forward brings together supply chain and IT industry experts, health system leaders, renowned researchers, policymakers and citizens to advance the adoption of integrated supply chains in global health systems.
A digitally and clinically integrated supply chain ensures products are available when and where they are needed to provide the best outcomes for patients and clinicians. The value of a strong supply chain has proven to be crucial in handling and managing care throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Wolf’s address, Paving the Way to a Fully Integrated Digital Health Ecosystem, will cover how supply chains can enable the mobilization of health data and the analysis of data flows to inform the decisions of patients, providers, global health systems and leaders.
Other keynote speakers include Dr. Anne Snowdon, HIMSS director of clinical research, and David Berridge, deputy chief medical officer for The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Sessions and speakers will cover how to drive global standards to improve patient safety, accelerating quality and safety with the newest HIMSS Maturity Model – the Clinically Integrated Supply Outcomes Model (CISOM) – and actionable takeaways and key next steps to accelerate adoption of supply chain best practices. Panelists from the United States, the UK and Canada will discuss the evidence-based impact of supply chain transformation in health systems.
Registration is open for the virtual event. To apply for press credentials, submit request to press@himss.org.
