Meet the Changemakers: Dean Koh

HIMSS serves the global health information and technology communities with focused operations across North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Our members include more than 80,000 individuals, 480 provider organizations, 470 non-profit partners and 650 health services organizations. The HIMSS staff is made up of changemakers who collaborate with members to reform the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology.

How long have you been at HIMSS?

I've been with HIMSS for about two years.

How do you support our mission statement?

I support our mission by covering the latest topics and happenings in digital health/health IT in the APAC region so readers and the audience from the healthcare industry are aware of how the relevant use of tech can impact their work and lead to improved patient outcomes and convenience.

How do you know your work at HIMSS makes a difference?

I joined HIMSS to start our content/media presence in the APAC region. Although we're still in the early days, I am glad that some of the work I have done can bring awareness to our APAC and international audience that HIMSS has a presence in the APAC region.

What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about the work you do at HIMSS?

Helping to run two regional websites is very challenging, but it is rewarding to have the opportunity to feature some of the latest digital health and health IT developments in the region!
