HIMSS Looks Forward to Continued Bipartisan Support for Progress in Digital Health Technology

As we reflect on the healthcare policy landscape and prepare for the weeks ahead, HIMSS and our members embrace the remarkable consensus and continuity that has spanned the past three Administrations and multiple Congresses when it comes to the importance of digital health technology.

Beginning in 2004 with the launch of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, we have seen broad bipartisan agreement about the valuable role information and technology can play in improving care delivery, expanding access, enhancing the patient experience, and containing costs.

At HIMSS, we believe policymakers across the United States will continue to focus on leveraging innovations in healthcare technology to empower patients, reduce the burden on providers and streamline information sharing across the healthcare ecosystem in order to improve outcomes.
