The Aging and Loneliness Session Series at HIMSS22 gives voice to the experience, challenges and needs of aging populations.
The number of people 65 and older in the United States is expected to increase to 55 million in 2020; to some 70 million by 2030, and to 88.5 million — or 20 percent of the population — in 2050.
During the Aging and Loneliness Series sessions, attendees will hear from and engage with entrepreneurs and innovators across technology, service and care delivery companies who are working on solutions to address the needs of this growing population.
Sessions will explore the ways in which solutions that are supposed to keep people safe where they live have let them down; and they will introduce novel approaches to sensing, machine learning and care delivery that may enable this growing population to live longer, more safely, with more joy wherever they may choose to live.
