As Europe Becomes World’s Most Attractive Region for Digital Health, HIMSS Convenes Healthcare Community

Major changes prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic — including billions of euros invested in healthcare modernization, national regulatory initiatives and the proposed EU legislation for the creation of the European Health Data Space — are making the region one of the world’s most attractive and dynamic markets for digital health.

The EU is investing €673 billion as part of the Recovery and Resilience Facility, with billions reserved for digital health transformation.

At HIMSS22 Europe, healthcare leaders will join efforts to make the European Health Data Space a reality. The proposed legislation is an important step toward making digital health a central pillar of the healthcare systems across the EU, and various initiatives at HIMSS22 Europe aim to bring the European Health Data Space to life.
