HIMSS European Health Conference & Exhibition Heads to Copenhagen in 2026

HIMSS is excited to announce that the 2026 HIMSS European Health Conference & Exhibition will be held from 19-21 May 2026 at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark. HIMSS is thrilled to bring the European healthcare community to a Nordic country where innovation, digital health advancements and cross-sector collaboration are deeply embedded in the healthcare ecosystem. 

This marks a pivotal moment for HIMSS and its long-standing HIMSS Nordic Community, which together will proudly welcome the world’s digital health thought leaders to a flagship HIMSS conference in Denmark for the first time. 

“It is great news that HIMSS Europe Conference is coming to Copenhagen in 2026. Denmark has many years of strong experience in the areas of digital transformation, thought leadership and patient engagement,” said Mette Maria Skjøth, PhD, HD(O), RN, Chief Administrative Officer of Odense University Hospital and Chair of the HIMSS EMEA Advisory Board. “The conference will bring together policymakers, health experts, and CIOs, all with the aim of transforming healthcare and driving change.” 

To ensure deep involvement and input from the Danish health community, HIMSS is excited to partner with local health organizations dedicated to promoting Danish healthcare solutions globally. The partnerships will focus on assembling a prominent Danish delegation that will spotlight the nation’s healthcare excellence at the conference.  

Denmark is widely considered one of the world's most digitally advanced nations with an infrastructure that allows for 99% of their healthcare communication to take place electronically. Denmark’s digital strategy is also financially supported by 10% of the Danish GDP, which is specifically allocated for healthcare development. HIMSS26 Europe in Copenhagen will host health tech leaders from around the world to see how policy, technology and medicine can move in lockstep.  

Following the success of HIMSS24 Europe in Rome and the upcoming excitement for HIMSS25 Europe in Paris, the 2026 edition in Copenhagen promises to build on the momentum by fostering connections and driving discussions that shape the future of European healthcare.
