St. Luke’s University Health Network faced significant challenges during the early stages of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic due to the lack of testing, treatment and vaccines. They partnered to provide COVID-19 testing, but faced delays, high costs and logistical issues. To address this, they implemented the a platform for high-throughput testing. The team overcame supply shortages and other obstacles, achieving an average turnaround time of 4.7 hours for COVID-19 testing in their new in-house molecular laboratory. This initiative significantly improved patient care efficiency and effectiveness.
